What to Expect When Being Tested
When it’s time for a laboratory test, you can rest assured that our providers will make sure you know what to expect. We want you to feel safe and comfortable at MI Health Clinic. If you have any questions, let us know.
Keep in mind that different tests look different. We would be happy to offer additional information based on the testing you need.
After your test is sent to the laboratory, we will contact you with your results. The wait time varies by test and volume of tests.
Once you receive your test results, you can meet with one of our providers and learn more about the next steps. If your tests come back normal, we will take additional steps to determine what is causing your concerning symptoms.
If your tests reveal a diagnosis, we will tell you about the different management or treatment options available. This may include medication, surgery, lifestyle changes, and more.
Note that some tests are done for preventive reasons. This can help us to monitor any changes and implement management techniques before concerning signs become full-blown health issues.
