Dr. Mahabir is our Chief Medical Examiner and Forensic Pathologist.
Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Mahabir has traveled the world in pursuit of medicine. Medical school in Grenada, Graduate studies in Japan, Masters’s in Sweden and Spain, Residency in New York City, and Fellowships in New York City and Los Angeles. He is now calling Michigan home where he practices. A lover of the outdoors, food and beer, Dr. Mahabir will barely be seen outdoors during the winter months. Forensic medicine is his lifelong passion for serving families to get closure, comfort, and justice. Believing that no child should die, Dr. Mahabir is an advocate for child welfare, especially having to do with pediatric disease, trauma, and pathology.
